During the National PROUD Week of Caring, Casino New Brunswick participated in the Big Bike team event and raised $1,932 for the New Brunswick Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Members from our Casino Nanaimo team showed their support of BC SPCA Nanaimo branch by participating in Paws for a Cause, and donating $1,000 to the non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals.

With the help of its community’s fundraising efforts, The Sharing Farm now has a new barn called Mary’s Barn, named after one of the founders of the organization. The Sharing Farm grows fresh, local and healthy produce for Richmond families in need, and is run by community members. As a long-time supporter of The Sharing Farm, River Rock helped to organize the grand opening of Mary’s Barn by providing finger foods and refreshments to the public as well as recruiting volunteers to help set up on the day of.
From May 16 to 31, team members at River Rock Casino Resort held a 50/50 and raffle draw as well as a clothing drive, with all proceeds benefiting Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver. During the two weeks the clothing drive was held, 26 garbage bags worth of clothes was collected which generated enough money to recruit, train and support three Big Brothers! The cheque for over $2,000 was presented to Big Brothers on June 21, 2016.
This year, Casino New Brunswick supported the 2016 Relay for Life this year in Greater Moncton. On June 10th, the Casino New Brunswick team volunteered a Day of Caring with the United Way, and assisted with painting inside the House of Nazareth Homeless Shelter in Moncton. On June 10, 2016, the two CNB team members sold raffle tickets for a Leanne Rimes autographed Guitar. In total, $760 was raised for the SPCA. Well done!
