Remembering Bill ‘The Dominator’ Davis

Surrey, B.C. (May 6, 2016): In honour of Bill Davis, a longtime horseman, harness racing trainer and driver, who recently passed away at the age of 54, Elements Casino will host a special commemorative ceremony in early October when the new racing season begins.
“We want to take the opportunity to honour and show our respect for a man who has done so much for harness racing in British Columbia during his lifetime. He was a remarkable trainer and driver known for being one of the hardest workers in the game,” said Chuck Keeling, Vice President for Great Canadian Gaming Corporation and former General Manager of Fraser Downs.
“I’m relatively new to the industry, but the name Bill Davis was one I learned about quickly. We were all shocked to hear the news of his passing,” said Michael Kim, General Manager, Elements Casino.

He was a two-time O’Brien Award winner who had 5,477 wins during his driving career and netted more than $22 million in purses. As a trainer, Davis won 3,466 races which translated into earnings in excess of $16 million.
