Honeymoon Suite & Streetheart To Play Hard Rock Casino Vancouver

COQUITLAM, BC – Juno Award-winning Canadian bands Honeymoon Suite and Streetheart will be rocking the stage at the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver on Friday, May 8, 2015.

It was in 1982 when lead singer Johnny Dee, lead guitarist Derry Grehan and drummer Dave Betts founded Honeymoon Suite in their hometown of Niagara Falls. The group’s self-titled debut album was released in 1984 and featured the hit singles, “New Girl Now”, “Burning in Love”, “Stay in the Light” and “Wave Babies”. Two years later, they released their second album, The Big Prize which spawned the hit singles, “Bad Attitude”, “Feel It Again”, “What Does It Take” and “All Along You Knew”. Both albums reached Platinum status in Canada while the singles were certified Gold. Additional hits from later albums included “Love Changes Everything”, “Lookin’ Out for Number One” and “It’s Over Now”.

Formed in Winnipeg by frontman Kenny Shields, keyboardist Daryl Gutheil and bassist Ken “Spider” Sinnaeve in 1977, Streetheart has earned a total of six Gold albums and four Platinum albums. They topped the charts with a non-stop string of hits including “Action”, “Hollywood”, “Under My Thumb”, “Tin Soldier”, “What Kind of Love is This”, “Snow White”, “Look In Your Eyes” and “One More Time”. In 2003, they were inducted into the Western Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Today’s line-up consists of Shields, Gutheil, guitarist Jeff Neill, drummer Tim Sutton and bassist Jake Jacobs.

Peter Frampton to Perform at Hard Rock Casino Vancouver

COQUITLAM, BC (February 11, 2015) – Grammy-winning English musician Peter Frampton will be thrilling fans when he’ll be appearing for one night only at the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver on Saturday, August 29, 2015.

Frampton remains one of the most celebrated artists and guitarists in rock history. He released four albums before his iconic double-live album, Frampton Comes Alive! was released in 1976. The album spent a total of seventeen weeks at the top of the US charts and became the biggest-selling live rock album up until that time. It also spawned a trio of hits with “Show Me the Way”, “Baby, I Love Your Way” and “Do You Feel Like We Do”.

Later hits included “I’m In You”, “Breaking All the Rules” and “Lying”. Last year, he released his newest album, Hummingbird in a Box. Additionally, he was one of several musicians who participated in The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to The Beatles which aired on CBS. Today, Frampton continues to perform to sold-out audiences worldwide.

Chicago Returns to Hard Rock Casino Vancouver

Fraser Downs Racetrack and Casino hosted the Sixth Annual Harness the Hope fundraiser and assisted in raising $17,104 for breast cancer research.

Surrey, B.C. (January 30, 2015): On January 25, Fraser Downs Racetrack and Casino hosted the Sixth Annual Harness the Hope fundraiser and assisted in raising $17,104 for breast cancer research.

The success of the event can be attributed to a number of live and silent auction donations made by community sponsors, the coveted Powder Puff Race and proceeds from the charity blackjack tournament. A total of six female drivers participated in this year’s Powder Puff Race and made their contribution through pledges.

River Rock Casino Resort Presents Chris D’Elia

Saturday, March 21 – Richmond, BC – Recently named one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch”, Chris D’Elia is quickly becoming one of the most sought after comedians today. It was in 2006 when D’Elia first began performing stand-up in Los Angeles where he soon became a regular at the comedy clubs. In 2009, he brought his stand-up to television with appearances on Showtime’s Live Nude Comedy and Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham. After starring on Comedy Central Presents in 2011, he landed his first one-hour stand-up special, White Male, Black Comic which aired on Comedy Central in 2013. The special was later released as an extended and uncensored CD/DVD combo by Comedy Central Records.

On the acting side, D’Elia has appeared in several guest-starring roles on such television series as CBS’ Chicago Hope, ABC’s Boston Legal and NBC’s American Dreams. In 2010, he joined the cast of TBS’ Glory Daze playing the role of “Bill Stankowski”. The following year, he co-starred as “Alex Miller” opposite Whitney Cummings on the sitcom, Whitney which ran on NBC for two seasons. Last year, he won the starring role of “Danny Burton” on the buddy sitcom, Undateable which returns for its second season this spring. D’Elia’s first love remains stand-up as he continues to perform to sold-out venues across North America including a date at the River Rock Casino Resort on March 21, 2015.
