Saturday, March 21 – Richmond, BC – Recently named one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch”, Chris D’Elia is quickly becoming one of the most sought after comedians today. It was in 2006 when D’Elia first began performing stand-up in Los Angeles where he soon became a regular at the comedy clubs. In 2009, he brought his stand-up to television with appearances on Showtime’s Live Nude Comedy and Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham. After starring on Comedy Central Presents in 2011, he landed his first one-hour stand-up special, White Male, Black Comic which aired on Comedy Central in 2013. The special was later released as an extended and uncensored CD/DVD combo by Comedy Central Records.

On the acting side, D’Elia has appeared in several guest-starring roles on such television series as CBS’ Chicago Hope, ABC’s Boston Legal and NBC’s American Dreams. In 2010, he joined the cast of TBS’ Glory Daze playing the role of “Bill Stankowski”. The following year, he co-starred as “Alex Miller” opposite Whitney Cummings on the sitcom, Whitney which ran on NBC for two seasons. Last year, he won the starring role of “Danny Burton” on the buddy sitcom, Undateable which returns for its second season this spring. Legendary Motown singer-songwriter Smokey Robinson rocketed to stardom with The Miracles in the late 50’s scoring such hits as “Shop Around”, “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me”, “Ooo Baby Baby”, “The Tracks of My Tears” and “I Second That Emotion”. After “The Tears of a Clown” became a #1 hit in 1972, he left the group to pursue a solo career. Robinson’s albums were on the whole more thoughtful and mellow than his work with The Miracles as his records of the late 80’s continued to gain popularity and the approval of critics. His 1987 album, One Heartbeat was termed “another winning package of sharp, sophisticated soul” by Rolling Stone. Songs such as “Cruisin’”, “Just to See Her” – a Grammy Award winner – and “Being With You” became both rhythm & blues and pop hits.

His most recent album, Smokey & Friends was released this past August debuting at #12 on the Billboard 200. The album features duets of some of his classic hits with such artists as Elton John, Mary J. Blige, Steven Tyler, John Legend, Sheryl Crow and James Taylor. Coupled with the success he enjoyed with The Miracles and as a major Motown songwriter, Robinson’s solo achievements in the music industry led to his 1986 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame while in 1989, he was named a Grammy Living Legend. He was then presented with the Kennedy Center Honors Award in 2006. Robinson continues to perform to sold-out audiences throughout North America and will be appearing for one night only at the River Rock Casino Resort on February 13, 2015.

When Everlast co-founded House of Pain with Danny Boy and DJ Lethal in 1991, the group’s frontman defied the stereotypes about white rappers with the release of their eponymous debut album. The multi- platinum selling album featured the hit single, “Jump Around”. After the group disbanded, Everlast pursued a solo career and released Whitey Ford Sings the Blues in 1998. The album produced the hit singles, “What It’s Like” and “Ends”. The following year, he won a Grammy Award for his collaboration with Carlos Santana on “Put Your Lights On”.

COQUITLAM, BC (August 20, 2014) – The Juno Award-winning band, Moist will be hitting the road with their just announced Canadian tour which wraps up at the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver on Thursday, December 4, 2014.

COQUITLAM, BC (July 7, 2014) – Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge will be bringing her “This is ME Solo” tour to the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver on Friday, September 5, 2014.

Known for her confessional lyrics and raspy, smoky vocals, Etheridge has remained one of North America’s favourite female artists for more than two decades. Richmond, BC – Bob Newhart’s career has spanned two successful television shows and fourteen feature films. He has sold millions of albums worldwide and his fans still flock to his live performances to hear such Newhart standards as “The Driving Instructor”, “Sir Walter Raleigh” and “The Submarine Commander”. These timeless classics are enjoyed by young and old alike at sold-out venues across North America. Bob’s debut album, The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart was released in 1960 and became the first comedy album to go to #1 on the charts. Richmond, BC – Tony Bennett is an artist who touches the hearts and souls of audiences everywhere. He’s the singer’s singer and has received high praise from his peers including Frank Sinatra who stated unequivocally that “Tony Bennett is the best singer in the business”. Richmond, BC – Legendary country music icon Kenny Rogers’ career began in the mid-1950’s when he recorded the single, “Poor Little Doggie” with a doo-wop group called The Scholars. It was then in 1967 when he joined The First Edition chalking up a string of hits on both the pop and country charts including “Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love To Town”. After the group split, Rogers launched his own solo career in 1976. To date, he has charted more than sixty hit singles – including “Lucille”, “The Gambler”, “Lady”, “Through The Years” and “Islands in the Stream” – and no fewer than forty hit albums … his most recent one being You Can’t
Make Old Friends which was released last year and features a duet with Dolly Parton on the title track. The single went on to earn a Grammy nomination for “Best Country Duo/Group Performance”.

Like many other singers, Rogers has also had success as an actor. His 1982 movie, Six Pack in which he played a race car driver took in more than $20 million at the US box office while made-for-TV movies such as The Gambler, Christmas in America and Coward of the County topped the ratings lists. As an entrepreneur, he collaborated with a developer of Kentucky Fried Chicken in 1991 to start up the restaurant chain, Kenny Rogers Roasters. He has received numerous awards for both his music and charity work including a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003. Last year he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and was also honoured with the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award. Rogers still enjoys performing to sold-out audiences throughout North America and will be appearing at the River Rock Casino Resort on October 17,
2014.
