In September 2017, Shorelines Casino Belleville presented a cheque to Gleaners Food Bank for the amount of $5000!

From September 10th – 16th, baby items like diapers, formula and baby food were collected, along with cash donation in support of Basics for Babies. The team raised $650!

In support of their signature charity, Bowls of Hope, our Chances Chilliwack team headed to Whistler, BC to participate in Tough Mudder. The team collected pledges to the event and raised over $1000 for Chilliwack Bowls of Hope.

13 Elements Casino team members participated in the site’s quarterly Adopt-a-Street clean up as part of this year’s National Week of Caring. Elements Casino takes pride in keeping their streets clear and helping the environment.

Nearly 130 team members across our BC properties participated in the first annual Great Canadian softball tournament – BC edition on Sunday, August 27th at Trout Lake. After a close final game, Casino Nanaimo came out on top, taking home the coveted trophy and bragging rights. Casino Nanaimo chose Nanaimo Search and Rescue as their charity of choice to receive a $250 donation.

On August 21, Great Canadian hosted its 2nd Annual Great Canadian Employee Charity Golf Classic, bringing out team members from various Great Canadian BC properties to golf for a good cause. This year, over $20,000 was donated to Dreams Take Flight, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a trip of a lifetime for physically, mentally and socially challenged children. Dreams Take Flight is a 100% volunteered-powered charity and proud of it.

In June, the team at Great American Casino Everett (GAC) and some of their family members volunteered at the Volunteers of America Food Bank. The Food Bank in Everett is the main distribution center for the five other food banks location throughout the greater. In total, 13 people helped to sort three tons of food, which will feed 120 families for three days. The GAC Everett has been volunteering at the Food Bank once a month over the past 18 months. Their estimated volunteer hours between the team and their family members to date is over 300 hours!

In 2017, Hard Rock Casino Vancouver has partnered with Music Heals to provide increased access to music therapy for seniors living in Coquitlam, Port Moody and Port Coquitlam. Hard Rock Casino Vancouver has donated over $6,500 to the charity of the year and is beyond excited to help bring life and music into the hearts and ears of music lovers within the community.

Hard Rock Casino Vancouver offers live music every Friday and Saturday evening to all of our guests at Asylum and at the Buffet. On May 18^th, 2017, River Rock Casino Resort team proudly raised just under $4,000 for Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland.

On May 4, 2017, Shorelines Casino Belleville took to the streets and rode the Big Bike for Heart and Stroke.  The team raised over $2100, surpassing their goal of $1500!
