Chances Dawson Creek participated in this year’s PROUD National Week of Caring by holding a bake sale for guests and team members in support of the Terry Fox Foundation. In total, over $700 was raised – not bad considering the bake sale was their plan B after they were forced to cancel their car wash due to poor weather!
Chances Maple Ridge was PROUD to donate $1,000 to The Family Education and Support Centre for the work they do to help families and individuals who are seeking support in the community. The Family Education and Support Centre offers a wide range of services including parenting, parent and child programming, mental health services, personal growth, diversity education, food security or community kitchens, and much more.
The Finance team surprised two of the Georgian Downs Security team members with baby blankets for their new little ones.
Nine team members from Georgian Downs volunteered on December 3rd with the Habitat for Humanity Build Day. The volunteers donated their time on Saturday from 9AM – 3PM to help with the building of a three unit townhouse for three families in Barrie. They insulated the basements of all three units.
Georgian Downs had several team members volunteer to enter and participate in the Innisfil Santa parade. We’re PROUD to highlight our teams from across Canada participating in local community events.
Chances Chilliwack presented Chilliwack RCMP with a $2,000 donation to contribute to the Memorial they are building for fallen members in Chilliwack. Chances Chilliwack is PROUD to support the work that the local RCMP does to help keep the Chilliwack community safe.
Liz Yeung from our Chances Maple Ridge team is a regular volunteer with The Navy League Cadet program. Through her work and involvement, Liz has created a positive impact and is a role model for youth in North Vancouver and across BC. To reward and recognize her efforts through the PROUD volunteer recognition program, Great Canadian donated $500 on Liz’s behalf to The Navy League Cadets.

On Friday, November 25, River Rock hosted the 6th Annual Richmond Christmas Fund Toy Drive in partnership with Richmond Cares Richmond Gives. The event collected unwrapped toys and donations to help brighten the holiday season for families and children in need. To kick things up a notch and make the day a memorable one, Richmond RCMP challenged River Rock to the popular and viral Mannequin Challenge, which they completed once the toy drive wrapped up!
